What you will be doing 

Your role in shaping the KOIA experience

 

As a Commis Chef, you will assist in preparing and presenting exceptional dishes that reflect KOIA’s culinary philosophy of quality, creativity and sustainability. Your dedication and teamwork will play a vital role in delivering an unforgettable dining experience for our guests.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the restaurant’s menu, 
  • Prepare ingredients, including cleaning, chopping and organizing raw materials.
  • Support the kitchen team during meal preparation, maintaining smooth operations and timely service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, strictly following hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain the quality and presentation of all dishes.
  • Participate in the cleaning and proper storage of kitchen equipment.
  • Assist during service to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of guest orders.

 

What you will bring to the team

We’re looking for a dedicated hospitality professional with:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a high-standard kitchen environment.
  • A degree from a culinary school or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of hygiene standards (HACCP) and the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
